We use a variety of evidence-based programs and supplemental resources for intervention at ELA. Read more about our most trusted intervention programs and materials below.

***This list is not inclusive of everything we use.

Writing Without Tears

We use Writing Without Tears as our main dysgraphia intervention. In addition, our Occupational Therapist uses evidence-based practices to enhance the curriculum and provide structured practice for handwriting. Dysgraphia intervention is multisensory and very engaging for students who struggle to produce letters and written language.

***Dysgraphia intervention is currently only offered after school hours and is spots for these sessions are very limited.

The Hochman
Method

We incorporate The Hochman Method into our written expression intervention sessions through using The Writing Revolution strategies. Writing intervention begins with sentence-level understanding and creation and, over time, expands to paragraphs and essay construction. Students apply writing strategies using content from multiple subject areas, including mathematics, to learn how to express their thinking clearly and effectively.
